Why do so many people believe creationism is “unscientific”
 and only for “the uneducated”?

This attitude is not so surprising.  Everywhere we look, we are bombarded with evolutionary ideas.  In movies, books, museums, classrooms, etc., we are constantly told about things that supposedly took place millions or billions of years ago.

This is especially a problem in our education system.  Students are told that life can be explained by random processes and that the Bible is wrong.  The higher the level of education, the stronger the expectation for students to agree with, or at least imitate, these statements.  So it is no wonder that, statistically, the percentage of highly educated people who believe in molecules-to-man evolution is higher than in any other group.

A recent newspaper article said that,“traditional churches aren’t satisfying a more educated and more questioning flock.” The article continues, “Educated people are saying religion is finished, there’s no God, they don’t believe in miracles.”

But the article is misleading.  People are not too “smart” to believe the God of the Bible.  No, they have just accepted the popular ideas about millions of years that are being presented unquestioned and exclusively, year after year in schools, which begin with the assumption that there is no God.  We need to get the information to these people (and to His churchs) to show them that real science actually confirms the Bible’s account of creation!

 
 
 

Why Does Evolution Have An Information Problem?

All life is built up on the basis of information, and this information is contained within our DNA, the molecule of heredity.  It is like a series of letters and a code that controls the DNA, and how organic life is constructed.  Information is actually the heart of the problem for people who believe that life could have arisen by natural processes.  

Being an amateur radio operator, I can use Morse code as a comparison.  If you understand the code with dots and dashes representing letters and numbers of the alphabet, you can read something that is put in Morse code.

If evolution is true, then the very first organism had to have information in the form of letters and a code. Evolutionists say that as organisms evolved, new information had to be continually added.  In other words, millions of times over millions of years, new information would have to be generated by random processes and added to the genetic system.

Now here is the clincher.  No one has ever documented even just one instance of new information arising from matter by itself.  All observations in science clearly show that information only comes from previously existing information, and ultimately from an intelligence.  And this fits with creation, not evolution.

 

  
 

Mutations... Evolution's Friend Or Foe?

Mutations are changes that occur in our our DNA.  They are the result of such things as harmful radiation. Evolutionists admit that these changes cause mistakes in our genes (DNA).  But they claim that sometimes mutations can produce new information.  For instance, to change a reptile into a bird, like scales to feathers, for example, requires a lot of added new information not previously available in the genes of the reptile.

BHowever, Dr. Lee Spetner, formerly of Johns Hopkins University, has spent years searching for that one piece of evidence to show that a mutation can actually increase information.  In his book Not By Chance, he said:

"But in all the reading I’ve done in the life-sciences literature, I’ve never found a mutation that added information … All point mutations that have been studied on the molecular level turn out to reduce the genetic information and not to increase it."

In other words, real science in the present shows clearly that mutations cause things to lose information.  This is exactly what the Bible teaches... that because of sin and the curse, entropy has become the constant of life, meaning that everything is running down, cooling off, decaying, and not improving.
